A good town development should include a good planning of its public park landscape. A public park is one of the facilities made available by the Local Authorities (PBT) mostly concentrated on the urban community. However, research on the concept of public park is limited in Malaysia. Therefore, this study examines the extent of tourist satisfaction while visiting public park, subsequently to address the problems and limitation encountered, and to provide recommendations in improving the quality of services and amenities provided at the Taman Saujana Hijau, Putrajaya. The method adopted in this study includes survey questionnaires, in-depth interviews, informal interviews, and observation and ethnography research. The study involves 123 respondents Overall findings showed that majority of the respondents are satisfied with cleanliness and ambience of the cheerful environment with a mean score of 3.60 the location of the theme park scored at 3.78 and softscape management scored at 3.82. However, average score was recorded for aspects such as the walkway (3.34), waqaf / gazebo / benches / table position location (3.21), jogging track (3.17), dustbins (3.12), level of safety (3.04), playground (2.99), parking area (2.86), signage’s (2.84), exercise equipment (2.62) and toilets (2.60). The major problems faced by visitors are mainly on provision of amenities such as prayer rooms, parking areas, and special facilities for handicapped, senior citizens and children. Thus, this study offers suggestions to remedy the defects mentioned, especially to improve the existing park facilities, provide better environment for all walks of life. In order to achieve the desired improvement, the stakeholders, relevant Department of Landscape and Parks and parks management should be more proactive and cautious on the quality services and facilities rendered by Saujana Hijau Park are always in the best condition.
