Distinctions of Imām Ibn bī Shaibah in the Sciences of Haditḥ. (English)
    • Abstract:
Imām Ibn Abī Shaibah belongs to the 2nd/3rd century AH. He attained a high position in the science of ḥadīth. He not only taught Ḥadīth but also preserved it in writing for the ūmmah in various forms. He also has many distinguishing features in the science of ḥadīth in which he introduced different methods in the art of ḥadīth by adopting a unique method and style unlike the other scholārs and his contemporaries. The most notable of these is the confirmation of your authenticity and the narration of the traditions with the highest authority. In his books of ḥadīth, he has adopted a special style of Jarḥ wa-l-taʿdīl and has formulated specific terms for this art. Some of his characteristics are such that it has a unique place in the books of ḥadīth “Al-Muṣannaf” and that is to adopt a unique style of composing a permanent book in"Imām Abū Ḥanīfa" which introduced a new dimension in the books of hadith. Secondly, to compile his book “Al-Mūsnād” in contrast to the Mūsnād of other narrators. The third is to compile a collection of ḥadīths consisting of "literature and good morals" which is considered to be the first book in his art. In addition, there are many other differences which are very important in the art of ḥadīth and which are a mirror of the valuable services of Imām Ibn Abī Shaibah in the art of ḥadīth.
