- Abstract:
This study investigates the supervision content and proficiency process for supervisors in charge of vocational rehabilitation (VR) in Japan. Interviews were conducted with 12 VR supervisors with extensive experience in providing employment support for persons with disabilities. A qualitative data analysis was performed using a modified grounded theory approach. The supervision content consisted of five sub-categories. The supervisory proficiency comprised three stages. Factors that contribute to the maturity of the VR supervisors consisted of two sub-categories. These findings can be used to inform the implementation of quality of training for VR supervisors in Japan. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
