      Neuropsychological and comorbid mental disorders can occur following a COVID-19 infection. In this context, the long-term consequences of a COVID-19 infection are gaining increasing attention. This case report presents a 36-year-old female patient who complained of impaired cognitive functions and symptoms of mental illness after a COVID-19 infection. Based on previous research, it is plausible that the COVID-19 infection caused her to suffer from neuropsychological disorders as well as from symptoms of a bodily distress disorder. The neuropsychological symptoms comprised impairments of attentional performance and executive functions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

      Nach einer COVID-19-Infektion können im weiteren Krankheitsverlauf neuropsychologische und komorbide psychische Störungen auftreten. Dabei finden die Langzeitfolgen einer COVID-19-Infektion zunehmend Beachtung. Mit diesem Fallbericht wird eine 36-jährige Patientin vorgestellt, die nach einer COVID-19-Infektion über Störungen kognitiver Funktionen und Symptome einer psychischen Erkrankung klagte. In Anbetracht des bisherigen Forschungsstandes ist es plausibel, dass sie – als Folge der COVID-19-Infektion – an neuropsychologischen Störungen sowie an Symptomen einer körperlichen Belastungsstörung als somatoforme psychische Störung litt. Bei den neuropsychologischen Symptomen standen Einschränkungen der Aufmerksamkeitsleistungen und der exekutiven Funktionen im Vordergrund. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
