- Abstract:
The article discusses the choreography of masculinity among heterosexual-identifed African asylum-seeking men who engage in intimate relations and subsequently marriages with women in Hong Kong, China. It uses feminist approaches to masculinity and dance theories of choreography to explain these men's engagements with masculinity. It notes that most migrant men experience a profound sense of emasculation as they struggle against the exclusionary forces of the so-called racial-border regime.
