Local elections are more powerful than you realize.

But all too often, we citizens ignore this responsibility to become educated on the local issues and the candidates - or even vote in the general election. We talked about how the founding fathers envisioned citizen legislators - ordinary citizens, stepping up to take a leadership position in their communities for a time, and then going back home to their everyday lives once that period was up.
