    • Abstract:
This article offers a biographical sketch of Texas writer Loula Grace Erdman (1898-1976). Erdman was a well-established writer long before she published The Edge of Time in 1950. Nevertheless the novel marked a turning point in her career: no longer would she be a writer from Texas; now she was a major contributor to the growing library of books about Texas. Her earlier achievements had included a collection, A Wonderful Thing and Other Stories, and two novels about career teaching, Separate Star and Fair Is the Morning.
