This article reports that the U.S. government has dismissed as deeply flawed the decision of the World Trade Organization (WTO) that the U.S. had no right to ban cross-border gambling on the Internet. The complaint against the U.S. was brought by the island nation of Antigua and Barbuda (A&B). The WTO ruling favors A&B in the case of a 43- year old law banning gambling payments across state lines. A&B argued that the law violated the 1995 WTO agreement meant to open up parts of other countries' service sectors.
