Category Overview.

This article presents the following categories and definitions, which characterize the majority of media management system types in use today. These include digital asset management, content management, enterprise publishing and records management. The general focus in all of these characterizations is on media management systems, from content creation through syndication. Other product categories are often included as part of a system or are available as an interoperable component.
