      The article analyzes the state of painting style with special reference to the paintings of artist Farshad Farzankia. It is stated that his paintings are large, expressionistic and often quite beautiful. It is stated that the last century has thoroughly undermined painting and sculpture as the pillars of art production. It is evident that the generation of expressionists working immediately after the First World War had come into artistic maturity during the first years of National Socialism.
