    • Abstract:
The article looks at the lessons to be learned from the results of the French regional elections on June 20, 2021. Topics discussed include the failure of La République en Marche (LREM) candidates to get the 10% votes needed for the second round of voting on June 27, decline in voter turnout from 50% in 2015 to 33% in 2021 according to pollster Ifop, and the failure of LREM to invest in the campaign earlier and preference of voters for incumbents due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
