    • Abstract:
Such is the case of chemists during the Francoist regime who created international relationships across the world aiming to improve the diplomatic linkages of the regime with other countries while also strengthening the scientific community in Spain. The book ends with a conclusion and a reflexion about how history of science can contribute to memory and general history in the case of Spain and the Francoist regime. The book offers an excellent account of how the tension between liberal and Francoist science offers a different way of seeing the debate about pure science and practical science in 20th-century Spain.
