The Social and Military Aspects of the Change of Women's Role in the Period of Dualism, 1867-1914. (English)

The improvement of the dualism period came with the change of women's role. As a result of the growing economy, the role of women in the job market was growing by the day. In my study I show how women broke out from the role of a second class citizen, the kind of work they were doing in agriculture and industry, and how their education was possible while they served as maids and how they climbed the social ladder. I inspect what kind of organisations they were a part of because of charity, or to validate their interests. I also show the importance of marriage and family in the Austrian--Hungarian officer corps. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

A dualista időszak fejlődése magával hozta a nők szerepének megváltozását. A gazdasági növekedés következtében egyre nagyobb méreteket öltött a női munkaerő alkalmazása. A tanulmányban bemutatom, hogyan sikerült a nőknek kitörni a másodrangú állampolgárok szerepéből, milyen munkákat végeztek a mezőgazdaságban és az iparban, illetve cselédként, hogyan vált lehetővé oktatásuk, és ezáltal a társadalmi rangjuk emelkedése. Megvizsgálom milyen egyletekbe tömörültek jótékonysági célból vagy érdekeik érvényesítéséért. Megjelenítem a házasság és a család jelentőségét az osztrák--magyar tisztikar esetében.
