      In the same vein, she writes that neither before nor after the conflict in the region 'has the Donbas developed any extreme examples of sharp negative attitudes towards the strategic goals of the Ukrainian state' (p. 242). Further, according to the author, 'no grounded empirical studies are available so far to justify the prescribed deeply pro-Soviet and irreconcilable anti-European nature of the Donbas' (p. 236).
