      Present study aimed at assessing the extent of knowledge of logical reasoning and further suggesting the inclusion of logic as a course in the social sciences at higher level. It was a mixed method study. Data was collected through questionnaire and interviews. Findings of the study showed gaps in knowledge of the logical reasoning on the part of the scholars. It was found that there was a need of including logic as a course in the curricula of social sciences at higher level research programs. Overall findings seemed to favor the idea of inclusion of logic as a course in the curricula of social sciences at higher level. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
