- Abstract:
Starting from intrinsically related realities such as secularization, globalization specific to modernity, postmodernism announces a reinterpretation of historical reality and religious. In response to the tendency to relativize truth and authority, as well as to question the acceptable limits of reason, postmodernism inevitably entails fundamentalist movements of a religious nature in response to crises of social and individual identity, which continue at a different level. specific opposition to the values of modernity. Preserving a certain pattern from the pre-modern and modern periods, the religious fanaticism decrypted in the case study dedicated to the Legionary Movement, religious fundamentalism crosses until now the contemporary societies and challenges those responsible to build a new ideological model of inclusive society, based on compassion, tolerance, intercultural and inter-religious dialogue.
