This study aims to identify the extent and prevalence of the use of Twitter by Arab youth and the reasons for this preference. The study raises three questions: To what extent do Arab youth use Twitter? Why do they prefer it? Is there a variation in age, gender, education level and their country in the use of Twitter by Arab youth? A descriptive survey method was applied in order to interrogate the above questions by using the electronic questioner, which was distributed through Twitter, Google plus, Facebook, and LinkedIn. There were a number of outcomes from the study: Re: Arab youth’s use of Twitter. The results show that (72%)of the study sample have Twitter accounts and more than half of the study sample had created their accounts on Twitter in the last (1-5) years. Re the preference of Twitter usage by Arab youth: This result totally agrees with the hypothesis of the study. The study also provides some reasons for the preference for Twitter, the most important of which is these are the main reasons why the Arab young prefer Twitter as the number one platform for them. Re the variety of Twitter use among the study sample: “statistically there are significant differences existing in the usage of Twitter among the Arab youth which are related to age, gender, education level and country.
