- Abstract:
February 7 2020, the new Copenhagen Museum opened in Stormgade 18. From 1937 to 1965, the building housed the Child and Youth Guard in the Municipality of Copenhagen. It supervised children and made decisions about placing children outside the home due to the child's or home's circumstances. The museum wanted to tell this story in the new exhibitions and invited previously placed children to participate with their story. The article reflects on both ethnological and museological methods to collect and communicate a complex welfare area through various forms of communication like an exhibition, an interactive installation and a game. - Abstract:
