      This article presents information about the book "Images of Class: An Australian Study," by A.T. Davies. This book consists largely of quotations from respondents, linked by a commentary and presented within a minimal theoretical framework. The author believes that social reality is so complex that one should try to reproduce rather than explain it. Certainly there is only the slightest attempt at the latter. This study is recommended to all who appreciate what its author calls splendid interviewing.
