Neurologist Jonathan Rosand, MD, co-director of the Henry and Allison McCance Center for Brain Health at Massachusetts General Hospital, says that one of the best motivators to help his patients understand the urgent necessity to manage their high blood pressure is to talk about someone they know who may have had a stroke or who otherwise suffered brain changes that led to cognitive impairment.
