      The purpose of this research is to understand how cultural identity traits, and especially ethnicity and immigration status, may affect how work and psychological distress are related among working Canadians. Results based on the nine cycles of the National Population Health Survey (NPHS), conducted by Statistics Canada, indicate a greater role is played by ethnicity compared to immigrant status.
