    • Abstract:
The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has taken serious notice of the recent power blackout that plunged almost the entire country into darkness. Meanwhile, the regulator has imposed a fine of Rs13 million on the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) on charges of negligence, resulting in fatal incidents during the period July-December 2019. Therefore, the authority issued a show cause notice to Pesco under Section 27B of the Nepra Act and gave an opportunity of hearing to Pesco. [Extracted from the article]
