B Author Information b An event is serious (based on the ICH definition) when the patient outcome is: * death * life-threatening * hospitalisation * disability * congenital anomaly * other medically important event A 50-year-old man developed proximal renal tubular acidosis and Fanconi syndrome secondary to nephrotoxicity during treatment with ifosfamide for peripheral T cell lymphoma. Based on these findings and clinical prestation it was concluded that he developed nephrotoxicity associated with ifosfamide, which resulted in proximal renal tubular acidosis and Fanconi syndrome. An interesting case of proximal renal tubular acidosis and fanconi syndrome due to ifosfamide nephrotoxicity. [Extracted from the article]
