      The article reports that diagnosing interstitial lung disease (ILD) is frequently challenging as improvements in the recognition of disease-specific radiological patterns have resulted in many cases of ILD being diagnosed noninvasively. Topics include considered that idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) guidelines also provide a conditional recommendation to perform BAL in cases of newly detected ILD of apparently unknown cause.
