The article describes the depiction of the warning by Laocoon, the Trojan priest of Poseidon, in El Greco's painting. In his warning, the priest stated not trusting the horse even when gifts are brought. Greeks then brought a gigantic horse, inside of which is hidden the greatest warriors, disguised as an offering to Athena. Once inside the city gates, the priest threw his spear into its belly. In response, Athena unleashed two sea serpents that strangled the priest's sons.
