      The article focuses on young drivers in the U.S. For most teenagers, getting a driver's license is a rite of passage. But the mix of youth and inexperience presents a major safety risk to young drivers and others. Young drivers can be distracted by their peers, pressured to drive recklessly, and are more likely to tailgate and speed than more experienced drivers. Alcohol is often a factor in teen accident rates. Parental involvement and limitation for the underage passengers are very important for the safety of these young drivers.
