The article discusses the decline in the number of children born with Down syndrome after the introduction of prenatal Down syndrome screening to pregnant women. It describes the case of a 27-year-old patient from Denmark who was a carrier for hemophilia and decided to undergo a test extracting amniotic fluid from her womb to determine if an abortion is need on eugenic grounds. It reveals the few number of babies born with Down syndrome following the prenatal test.
