    • Abstract:
Evaluates current studies on the radiation effects on workers in nuclear and radiation facilities. How ionising radiation is probably the best-studied carcinogen known; Belief that estimation of risks to set safety standards is being done from studies of people exposed to much higher doses of radiation that those experienced by the average nuclear workers; Problem with individual studies which have either lumped all cancers together or split them and how either approach may skew the findings; Assertion that studies of nuclear workers should continue but that interpretation should be based on combinations of studies and consistency in findings before raising alarms.
