      An interview with L.A. Care Health Plan top executive John Baackes in August 2020 is presented. When asked on the coronavirus impact on its underserved population membership, he cites their concerns with the group's higher infection and death rates than the general population and are working on their access to care. Baackes states that investing in social services will reduce later healthcare costs. He notes that 10 million dollars are set aside annually for community health funds.
