    • Abstract:
      This study deals with the study of dialogue in Ibn al-Rumi's poetry ( d . 283 AH ), as a narrative characteristic of the important features that characterize the narrative text. Ibn al-Roumi is one of the most prominent poets in the Abbasid period, because he possesses a literary product that represents his poetry Which is one of the largest poetic libraries in this era. The research was divided into two sections, preceded by a preface. The preface is summarized by presenting a brief overview of the concept of dialogue in language and terminology as well as its importance in narrative studies. While the study came in the second section to reveal the most prominent methods of dialogue contained in his poetry. In conclusion, the research presented the most prominent findings .
