Merger Interrupts Sarb-Ox Project.

This article shares the experience of a security manager in the U.S. regarding the impact of business mergers on the Sarbanes-Oxley compliance project of the company he is working for. Once again, the company made an acquisition and informed the information technology (IT) organization only after the deal was signed. The problem with this arrangement is, if an issue will be discovered that might affect the deal, it is difficult to go back and change the agreement. And dealing with issues related to the acquisition meant that the IT department had to temporarily stop working on its Sarbanes-Oxley compliance project.
