- Abstract:
In recent years many structural studies on normal elastic tissue (ET) have been made with the electronmicroscope (EM), but little interest has been given to the significance of the variations in the different parameters of ET visible at the light microscope level. The data reported in this paper refer to the light microscope appearance of certain types of ET when stained by synthetic orcein. Some speculations are proffered on the changes observed.
