      The article explores the work of the midcentury artist Lenore Tawney. A weaver and sculptor, she created works including the 1962 piece "Dark River," which hung in the exhibition “In Poetry and Silence: The Work and Studio of Lenore Tawney.” Her artwork has a devotional aspect to it and her artistic techniques are discussed in detail.
