The absence of ascites - as in our patient - is probably more correctly labelled as atypical Meigs syndrome; Meigs syndrome with malignant or benign ovarian tumours - other than fibromas or fibroma-like tumours - or uterine or fallopian tumours is referred to as pseudo-Meigs syndrome.
