    • Abstract:
This article focuses on prevailing political conditions in the U.S. and around the world, as of October 26, 1865. The wrath of the North appears to have almost entirely evaporated. The Southern policy adopted by U.S. President Andrew Johnson's administration had to change after a few months in power. When the President took to office he was breathing nothing but threatening and slaughter against traitors and the whole South was traitorous. Another development focuses on the so called "the eight-hour labor movement," which is based on the principle to give the labor a part or the whole of the profit. The principle show that the interests of labor and capital are not opposed but identical, that they are promoted by harmonious action and injured by discord and that the share of each in the gains of both is allotted by natural and necessary laws which cannot be resisted by any human contrivance.
