Despite the heavy burden of diabetes on the economy and health throughout the world, little importance has been paid to associations between air pollution and the incidence of diabetes in developing countries, particularly in China where PM2.5 concentrations are relatively high. The authors of this article* found a positive association between these exposures and diabetes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
