    • Abstract:
Work on part of the $3-billion, 1,760-km Baku-Tblisi-Ceyhan Pipeline Co.'s (BTC) oil pipeline between the Caspian and the Mediterranean seas was due restart August 2 after a 14-day delay, ordered by the Georgian government for further studies on security measures. The stoppage occurred at a 17-km section in the environmentally sensitive Borjomi Valley, while continuing elsewhere on the route, says British Petroleum Co. PLC, of London, England, which leads the BTC Pipline developer team.
