- Abstract:
The article discusses a study which evaluated the feasibility and safety of copper intrauterine device (IUD) insertion by mid-level providers in Sub-Saharan Africa. Topics covered include comparison of women's experiences of adverse events by provider type, the most common adverse event reported by women, and findings which support that task shifting of IUD insertion to mid-level providers will improve IUD access.
