It is informed that, Macmillan & Co. will be the American publisher of a subscription book of singular beauty and curiosity, "Musical Instruments, Historic, Rare, and Unique," by A.J. Hipkins. "Living Lights," a popular account of phosphorescent animals and vegetables, by C. F. Holder; "Christian Facts and Forces," by Newman Smyth; and a memorial edition of the late B. A. Sophocles' "Greek Lexicon of the Roman and Byzantine Periods," supervised by J.H. Thayer, are in the press of Charles Scribner's Sons.
