The article discusses the sexual revolution of the 1960s and how the U.S. society fell apart socially after the end of World War II. Topics covered include rise in divorce, rape and juvenile delinquency in the U.S., generation gap due to the unlimited demand for young persons in the armed forces and industry during the war, how the war informed fiction and movies of the war years and beyond and double standard in wartime reaction to venereal diseases by putting the blame on women.
