CZYM SĄ BIOPREPARATY I JAKIE JEST ICH ZASTOSOWANIE?

WHAT ARE BIOPREPARATIONS AND WHAT IS THEIR USE?

The aim of this article is to present the issue of what biopreparations are, how they are classified and what is the procedure of their registration. In addition, the effectiveness of biopreparations used in agriculture, in the fight against pests and pathogens of plants, as well as in areas other than agriculture on the basis of available literature has been described. Biopreparations have many definitions. This term is understood as the arrangement of microorganisms, which has a defined species composition and activity adapted to conduct a specific process. Selected microorganisms are safe for the environment because they support natural processes for which they are genetically adapted. The search for new measures supporting the development and yielding of selected plants is necessary in the realities of modern agriculture, and in accordance with the mandatory, integrated plant protection introduced in the European Union since 1 January 2014. With the development of technologies, biopreparations have found a wider application outside of agriculture, among others in household and municipal sewage treatment plants, mining, composting and reduction of environmental pollution. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest przybliżenie zagadnień dotyczących definicji biopreparatów, ich klasyfikacji oraz procedury rejestracji tych środków. Dodatkowo na podstawie dostępnej literatury opisana została skuteczność biopreparatów używanych w rolnictwie w walce ze szkodnikami i patogenami roślin, a także w innych niż rolnictwo dziedzinach. W dostępnej literaturze przytoczono wiele definicji biopreparatów. Pod pojęciem tym rozumie się układ mikroorganizmów z określonym składem gatunkowym i aktywnością przystosowaną do prowadzenia określonego procesu. Wyselekcjonowane mikroorganizmy są bezpieczne dla środowiska, gdyż wspomagają procesy naturalne, do których mają uwarunkowania genetyczne. Poszukiwanie nowych środków podtrzymujących rozwój i plonowanie wybranych roślin jest konieczne w realiach współczesnego rolnictwa i zgodne z wprowadzoną w krajach Unii Europejskiej od 1 stycznia 2014 r. obowiązkową, integrowaną ochroną roślin. Wraz z rozwojem technologii biopreparaty znalazły szersze zastosowanie poza rolnictwem, między innymi w przydomowych i komunalnych oczyszczalniach, górnictwie, kompostowaniu i redukcji skażeń środowiska.
