    • Abstract:
The authors examined the utility of gastric emptying half time as a quantitative measure to assess the gastric emptying in a prospective, observational, single-centre study. Highlights include recruitment of 33 patients with systemic sclerosis from a rheumatology clinic, approval of the study by local ethics committee of the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, and the number of patients who had a delayed gastric emptying.
