يقع بحثنا ضمن مجال المناخ الطبي وهو أحد الفروع الحديثة لعلم المناخ التطبيقي. وهو من المواضيع المهمة التي شغلت وما زالت تشغل اهتمامات الباحثين بمختلف التخصصات الجغرافية والمناخية منها وكذلك الطبية. ويتكون البحث من ثلاثة مباحث فضلا عن الإطار النظري وهي: 1- الخصائص الحرارية لمناخ منطقة الدراسة. 2- خصائص امراض المفاصل وتوزيعها في محافظات منطقة الدراسة. 3- تأثير الخصائص الحرارية في تباين الإصابات بأمراض المفاصل في منطقة الدراسة.
