    • Abstract:
      This article aimed to explore the meaning and antecedents of emerging Prajñā (a Buddhist concept that relates to the wisdom) in the LGBTQ children. A qualitative design was adopted for this research and the case study method was used for data collection. The key informants were selected by theoretical sampling, and included three parents who have LGBTQ children. Data were collected through personal in-depth interview using a semi-structure questionnaire and were analyzed through content analysis. The main themes that emerged from this study that: (1) the meaning of Prajñā in the LGBTQ children implies accepting who they are and restoring happiness to the family. The meaning of emerging Prajñā process in the LGBTQ children comprised of the growth in understanding for acceptance, the transition from dark to light and the consequent change in affective, cognitive, and psychomotor domains. (2) The antecedents comprised of agent, the emerging process, and the understanding the causes. Based on the findings of this research, it is recommended that policy implementation could be through agents such as the family institution, religious institution, and mass media.
