    • Abstract:
The article discusses a study by Doctor Jose Guell et al that investigated the safety of intracamerally injected mydriatic/anesthetic (ICMA) agents during cataract surgery and intra-ocular lens implantation among older patients. Results from the study indicate that ICMA treatment permits the correct dose of the appropriate agents to be administered consistently at a convenient time, in a safe monitored environment, with less cardiovascular side effects compared to the usual dilation procedure.
