      The present paper discusses Cantonese equative constructions from a typological perspective, highlighting the following two points. First, an equative construction formed with only degree marking is allowed in Cantonese. This equative construction, which cannot be classified by typologies in the literature, was predicted not to exist. Second, a comparison of equative constructions in Cantonese and Mandarin reveals that Cantonese equative degree marking employs more markers and prefers a demonstrative of degree to a morpheme of 'equally'.       Résumé: Cet article traite des constructions équatives cantonaises dans une perspective typologique, en mettant l' accent sur les points suivants. Premièrement, une construction équative exprimée uniquement par un marqueur de degré est permise en cantonais, un type de construction qui était censé ne pas exister et qui ne peut être classé dans aucun type reconnu par les travaux typologiques. Deuxièmement, la comparaison des constructions équatives entre le cantonais et le mandarin révèle que le cantonais emploie davantage les marqueurs de degré et a tendance à utiliser des démonstratifs de degré plutôt que des morphèmes tels que jat1joeng6 "autant".
