- Abstract:
The article offers information on practitioners investigating procedural interventions performed to improve subjective outcomes, testing for blinding in sham-controlled studies. Topics include assessing blinding through video surveillance to assess blinding in sham-controlled and asking investigators to reflect further on their methods; and has potential to strengthen the validity of results and better differentiate a placebo effect of an intervention from a true effect.
