      The article discusses the Iron Age ancient extinct city on the Kerkenes mountain in Turkey, which existed from approximately 609 B.C.E. through 550 B.C.E., between the period of Assyrian and Persian empire dominance over the region, including the city's economy and daily life. The extinct city gate known as the Cappadocia Gate, including its construction of timber beams and stone, is discussed.
