Q&A with David Cronenberg.

This article is an interview with Canadian filmmaker David Cronenberg. This month, Canadian filmmaker David Cronenberg released the special edition DVD of his 1977 horror cult classic Rabid--in which Montreal is ravaged by a deadly disease. And he recently shared with Maclean's some thoughts on scary movies. When you're dealing with it seriously, you're actually discussing some very heavy aspects of the human condition. You can only go so far with it before you're doing a spoof on top of a spoof. It's like if you're a poet and you say,' At the end of the book I' m going to show you these really bad lines of poetry that I realize are horrible.
