DEATH IN THE POEM "ANDRRA E JETËS". (English)
    • Abstract:
The poet of Albanian literature, Ndre Mjedja, in his poetry offers an authentic approach to the phenomenon of death, projected poetically in some of his texts. Rising from his authentic concepts Mjedja wrote lyrics about life and death, capturing human drama in the heart of reality toward finality - death. "Andrra e Jetës" is the poem that widen author's philosophy about death. Classified as his masterpiece, the poem also becomes the first Albanian poem that writes about ordinary man facing the ordinary death. In this work, Mjedja writes the great cycles of life and invites us to read about the human being, his existence and his essence in the world. He writes about temporary and ending, confessing the permanent human pain. In this authentic reading of the poem, life and death are seen as essential, beyond the theologian and religious belonging of the poet, in order to present the dimension of the phenomenon of death as a highly meaningful element of the theme, semantics and symbolism of this work.
